A little story about us

As a model, I have been inspired by the world of photography. I discovered that I was more intrigued by making art myself. I discovered that I enjoyed standing behind the camera as well as being in front of it. With the knowledge I have from working with so many different photographers I started experimenting on my own. Portrait photography has made me realize I like to capture real emotions ‘in the moment’. That is how I discovered my passion for wedding photography. It is an honour to capture the most beautiful day of someone’s life and be a part of this special moment. I try to work unnoticed, to enable people to enjoy their day without interrupting it.
Wouter Groothuis (videographer)
After high school, I knew I wanted to work in media. After graduating Media & Design at Saxion I started working at the Dutch youth broadcasting station BNN. It is here I found my passion for video and photography. Creating something new fascinated me. Over the years, I gained a lot of experience in both video and photography. I know all the tricks of the trade with a camera, and have experience working with several editing programs. I started focussing on directing and developing myself as a director of photography ( DOP). Now I own my own business, where I; film, direct, photograph, design and edit. I take pride in the fact that I have the knowledge and experience to do everything myself, but can also teach my staff.
Our Story
We, The Dutch Wedding Photographers create images and videos with a story. We love to capture real emotions and translate them in beautiful images. Your special day is not always expressible in words, but in pictures. That smile when the groom first sees his bride, the proud look on the fathers face when he gives away his daughter. That one person in the family that claims they never cry, but secretly does. We make sure those moments are captured so you can look back at all those special moments on your special day.
